Ryoichi Kurokawa is an emerging Japanese media artist currently living in Brussels, Belgium. He integrates various mediums, such as technology and media to create audiovisual masterpieces. Recognized as the brightest rising star in contemporary art, he has been invited to major international digital media festivals in recent years, including Ars Electronica in Austria, Tate Modern in the UK, Mutek in Canada, and Sonar in Spain.
In Celeritas, Kurokawa collaborates with composer Sue-Ya Wang and percussionist Shin-San Wu. Celeritas is a captivating experience full of traditional percussion sounds and images, combined with modern audio and video technology enjoyable for every performing arts enthusiast.
