Polish-born Joseph Conrad (1857-1924) is regarded as one of the greatest English novelists. Conrad drew upon his experiences in both the French and British Merchant Navy to create novels and short stories that reflected aspects of a world-wide empire while also plumbing the depths of the human soul, influencing several generations of writers as well as film directors. This exhibition is organized by the Warsaw (Poland) Trade Office and promoted by INFINE.
